These terms describe the conditions for the Keinage official SaaS and legal disclosures based on Japanese law. Use of the self-hosted source code is governed by the separate OSS license.
The service allows users to create, manage, and display electronic guide boards, bulletin boards, digital signage, and related display content on the web. These terms mainly apply to the official SaaS version. Use of the self-hosted source code is governed by the separate OSS license.
Users must register accurate and up-to-date information. Users are responsible for managing their accounts, login information, passwords, and OAuth connection information.
The service may provide plans such as Free, Lite, Standard, and Standard+. Plan details, fees, and limits are shown on the pricing page or in the admin screen. Paid plans are charged in Japanese yen through Stripe or another external payment service.
Users may change or cancel plans through the admin screen or a page provided by the payment service. Downgrades generally apply at the end of the current billing period. If a user closes the account, the right to use the service ends at the time of closure.
Users may upload or enter images, videos, text, QR-code URLs, and other content. Users represent that they have the necessary rights to their content, that the content does not infringe third-party rights, and that the content does not violate laws.
Users must not violate laws or public order, infringe third-party rights, perform unauthorized access or vulnerability probing, impose excessive load, register false information, publish malware, phishing, fraud, or nuisance content, or display names, logos, domains, or wording that may cause confusion with the official Keinage service.
The operator may change, add, suspend, or terminate the service as necessary. The service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, incidents, security responses, external service outages, natural disasters, or other unavoidable reasons.
The operator may terminate all or part of the service by giving prior notice on the service or to the registered email address. If a user is on a paid plan, no new charges will be made on or after the termination date. For monthly plans, fees for the month in which the service ends are generally non-refundable, but the operator may, at its discretion, refund an amount corresponding to the unused period after the termination date. For annual plans, if an unused period remains at the time the service ends, the operator may refund an amount corresponding to that unused period on a monthly or daily prorated basis in accordance with the operator's procedures. Refunds may be processed through Stripe or another payment service used by the operator, or by another method separately designated by the operator. No refunds will be provided for Free plan users. Even after the official SaaS is terminated, the OSS version of Keinage may continue to be used in accordance with the applicable OSS license. However, data, media, and account information stored on the official SaaS may be deleted after the service ends. Refunds are generally not provided for user-initiated account closure, cancellation, or suspension of use. However, if the operator terminates the service for its own reasons, the operator may refund the unused portion of an annual plan.
When a user closes the account, account information, board information, uploaded images and videos, shared user information, and related data are deleted or anonymized. Minimum information may be retained as necessary for billing, accounting, abuse prevention, inquiries, and legal compliance.
Intellectual property rights related to the service, software, logos, names, UI, templates, documentation, and other service materials belong to the operator or legitimate rights holders. Source code released as OSS is governed by the OSS license shown in the repository.
The Keinage name, logos, service names, official domains, and other brand assets are managed by the operator. Even when third parties use the source code to provide their own hosted service, they may not use names, logos, domains, or displays that may be confused with the official service.
The service may use Stripe, Google OAuth/OIDC, AWS, email delivery services, and other external services. Some functions may become unavailable due to external service incidents, specification changes, or termination.
The operator does not guarantee that the service fits a specific purpose, is always available, has no defects, or always preserves data completely. Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the operator, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the service.
Even if the operator is liable, the liability is limited to the total amount paid by the user for the service during the most recent one-month period, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.
The operator may change these terms as necessary. For important changes, the operator will notify users by display on the service, email, or another appropriate method.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes related to the service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Japanese court having jurisdiction over the operator's location as the court of first instance.
